The Joan Coulat
Sacramento Branch of the American Begonia Society
Many people refer to our group as the Sacramento Begonia Society, but our official name is The Joan Coulat - Sacramento Branch of the American Begonia Society in honor of our founder.
The Joan Coulat - Sacramento Branch of the American Begonia Society is dedicated to the culture, protection, and appreciation of begonias all over the world. Our Society brings together people in the Sacramento area interested in the culture and propagation of begonias, and also serves an educational function in disseminating information about begonias to the public.
You are limited only by your imagination as to the fun, adventure, variety, study, and all around good time you can have when you journey into the organized world of begonias. The Joan Coulat - Sacramento Branch of the American Begonia Society is the means for an introduction to the dynamics and fun of begonias.
Meetings are held monthly on the Third Tuesday at 7:15 pm (except November because of Thanksgiving week, and February which is our society's member dinner) at the Shepard Garden and Art Center, (in McKinley Park), 3330 McKinley Blvd., Sacramento, California 95816 at 7:15 PM.
Our meetings feature educational programs, seed plant and exchanges, demonstrations, new species presentations, as well as a raffle drawing. The group is thrilled to share begonias and begonia talk with anyone new to begonias.
